Unlocking Shakespeare with Matthew Hager

Join actor and director Matthew Hager for a dynamic 10-week acting class focused on the works of William Shakespeare. This course explores scenes and monologues through performance-based techniques, making Shakespeare’s work accessible, dynamic, and fun! Participants will build confidence with classical text, while gaining a deeper appreciation for one of theater’s most influential playwrights.
Acting experience recommended. Limited spots available.

Elf Jr. [Homeschool Class]

Buddy, a young orphan, mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. This would-be elf is raised, unaware that he is actually a human until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa’s permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Faced with the harsh realities that his father is on the naughty list and his half-brother doesn’t even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.

NOTE: We recognize the demand for this class, and we are actively looking for a solution to offer an additional homeschool class. Stay tuned!

Twelfth Night [Advanced Ensemble]

Participation in this show is by audition only!

Named one of the best theatrical productions of 2018 by Time, The Hollywood Reporter, and The Washington Post, Twelfth Night is a rousing contemporary musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic comedy about mistaken identity and self-discovery. Twelfth Night tells the story of Viola, a young heroine who washes up on the shores of Illyria, disguises herself as a man, is sent to court a countess and falls hard for a Duke. As she navigates this strange and wonderful new land, she finds her true self and true love in the process.

WHEN:

AUDITIONS: Auditions will be by self tape submission only. Self-tape auditions are due by 11:59PM on August 11. No late submissions will be accepted.

Please prepare 16-32 bars of a musical theatre song in the style of the show, and a ~1 minute monologue.

Auditionees will receive the link to submit their self-tape via email after completing registration!
